Texas Truck
Texas Truck tells a story of Americana – an old Ford truck and a Mercury Marquis wagon parked in front of a worn-down Texas motel in 2017. The scene is bathed in late afternoon light, radiating nostalgia and the quiet dignity of vehicles that once carried lives and stories across vast landscapes. Frank Kayser documents this tableau as both a social commentary and a celebration of fading roadside culture in the American South.Late-afternoon light settles on two work-worn classics, their paint soft as dust and chrome. A “For Sale” sign flickers in the window while sun-bleached curtains frame the empty rooms—miles of story in a single pause. Archival pigments on 100% cotton paper, signed, numbered, and issued with a certificate of authenticity.
Exhibited in the Leica Gallery Düsseldorf solo show “My Territory.”
