Mike due Pizza was photographed in downtown New York City in October 2006. The glowing lights of a pizzeria shine into the dark streets, creating a cinematic snapshot of urban life. The image evokes the gritty pulse of the city at night, where solitude and energy coexist. Frank Kayser’s work captures the essence of an era – small stories playing out against the backdrop of one of the world’s most restless cities. From above, a wedge of city glows—pizza neon, a pub door ajar, and fire escapes stapled to brick while the intersection idles in deep red-brown. One passerby drifts through the sodium wash, and the grid feels cinematic, paused between scenes. Exhibited in the Leica Gallery Düsseldorf solo show “My Territory.” Museum-grade print on 100% cotton paper, signed, numbered, and issued with a certificate of authenticity.
